I have been using an old atv whinc but it had to be permently attached. So it was either buy abother and a 12v And 100amp converter or this. I have a party rental business aimed at corporate parties, we move a lot of eq that ranges 200-1000lbs often on grass where a pallet jact won't work and our box truck has no lift gate. So two of these; one in the shop, one in the box truck. Makes life so much easyier ESP with my back injury. Having blown cables and chains on heavy equipment recovery I do have some safety concerns, but can be abated with ppe and some safety guide lines..p

I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but bought one anyway and boy I was impressed. If you rig and use it properly I belive that it will do all that it is advertised and designed to do. That is why I am back here after a few months to write this review. I am going to post it elsewhere as well, as I always consider the reviews and reviewers before I purchase a product myself, and I want Warn to continue making this winch. I had 2 cars and 3 vans sitting in my yard from 12 years for the Ranchero to at least 4 years for the newest mini van. Needless to say, they had sunk into the ground, had weeds grow all around the tires as well as the rotors or drums freezing up from rust. I needed a winch to get these vehicles up the ramp onto a car hauler. I had to beat on the wheels to get them freed up and air up the tires but the PullzAll never failed in getting them up the ramp, even when it had to drag a van with a wheel still frozen. It was bogging the winch pretty bad, so I put a piece of sheet metal under the frozen wheel to make it easier to drag and up the ramp it went. You have to have some common sense when using it. If the winch can't be placed high enough above the trailer and you try to pull something up and are actually pulling down onto or against the ramp basically compressing the vehicle down against the ramp while trying to pull it forward you probably will over-torque the winch. This is not an unlimited capacity, pull an Army Tank up the side of a building winch. This winch is small and light and does a great job for the size. It does NOT seem to be high quality, and I do not know how long it will last, but it did the jobs well without any problems and did everything that it was advertised to do. Forward and reverse worked well, but it is up to you to keep the cable taught so it will spool and unspool properly. It's no racehorse, but I was also satisfied with the speed. I doubt that it would hold up as a heavy use, professional grade tool but for the home handyman, pulling shrubs, vehicles, fence posts or a vehicle out of the snow bank etc. I think it is a great tool to have on hand. If the cordless one was available for the same price I would buy one of those as well, though I don't know how well they work or how reliable they would be, I would take the chance based on my experience with the corded model.
Like I mentioned about the quality, and the reason that I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because as others have commented, the cable is sub par and began splintering somewhere along the line in my use, so wearing leather gloves is a good idea when handling the cable. It is not so bad that it needs to be replaced, but I anticipate a time when it will. I would speculate this is a made in China cable. This is not a big concern as I can replace it fairly reasonably, but it should have been better quality from the start. I would rate it a 5 star in performance for the money and working to it's rated capacity, with the cheap cable bringing it down to 4 stars. It is a bit loud but not surprisingly or shockingly loud. I also used it with a snatch block and chains to extend the reach.

I had to try the Pullzall my company works on conveyors cutting and welding in sections late at night. At the end of the process we have to pull the chain back through the conveyor and reload sometimes 100 feet in length. What usually takes 4 guys all very tired from working all night, now takes nothing more than the Pullzall. We also used this to lift 500lb conveyor sections something not recommended with a straight winch system, it worked perfectly.
