I've had no problems with this zippo at all. I've used a 20 yo zippy now for well... 20 years, with no problems, (sent it back once because the lid broke off, and they fixed it NQA! I like my old zippo, but as I've started enjoying cigars I wanted a torch lighter. This thing works great. Lights the first time almost every time, no different than the old style zippo. If I don't get a good spark, I have to flick it again. No big deal. Never once had to flick it a 3rd time. Even in the wind. It is much better than the old style zippo because it: 1. has no funny fuel smell. 2. does not leak into my pocket "burning" my leg with fluid. 3. stays fueled up when I'm not using it. (my old one must be re-fueled every 3 days if I use it or not) and 4. Brings me into the 21st century. Ha!

If I have a gripe it is the small window to check the fuel level, it is practically worthless, but then again as a long time zippo user, you can't check the level on those things either.

The fit and finish was great on mine, and I think it is a quality american made product. The size, shape, and "click" are all zippo.

I don't know how well the plastic button and parts are going to hold up in the long run, but with a lifetime warranty, and the good service zippo has given me in the past, that is no worry.

I agree with all the bad reviews.
The lighter looks great but the flint wheel is terrible.
There is no flame adjustment and it takes a lot of tries to light the dam thing.
I had to replace the flint after only a couple of weeks which was impossible because the screw were you place the flint would not undo.
To make matters worse the company that sell them through Amazon (CHELSEA) would not even reply to my emails.

i heard that this works great with the Vector quintuple refined butane, it didnt work with that. i did some research and then i heard it only works with the Zippo butane fuel, so i tried that and it still didnt work. i hear gas coming out, i see a spark, but no flame.
